A DAY WITH RAYNE

Tonight was the first babysitting experience for baby Rayne and guess who got to be the baby sitters??? We did!!!!!! Rayne stayed with her grandpa and me and her aunt Khrystine for about two hours or so while her mama and papa went to a movie. It was rather impromptu for the young parents so we weren't expecting it, and that makes it all the more fun I think.
She is such a cute little stinker. She can pull the cutest little frownie face, and being only three months old, you know it's just there, all sweet and innocent and tugging your heart right out of your chest. She frowns sometimes, I think, when she is trying very hard to explain her discontent. Then she breaks into a very passionate, and loud wail, about her feelings. Totally disarming, she is.
Anyway, do you want to know who it was that carried her around all night, singing and swaying, and making up silly songs?? It was her Grandpa!! I swear this is a first for him!! I've seen him take the babies for walks and talk and play, but to keep holding a crying one for an hour or more has been unheard of. And I found it so adoreable.
I think little Rayne had realized that the best way to be held is facing forward in the arms of a walking around person. Anything else is totally unacceptable and she really lets the world know it.
JoAnna, we loved every minute of it. It was all just awesome.
