It's about time someone came out and explained how you can be fit and not necessarily thin as a rail, or that losing weight isn't all there is to being fit. So many people will jump on any Diet train that comes by hoping for a miracle. This author can tell you there is a miracle help for a lot of what will ail us but it might not be what you think it is. The book reads quickly, each chapter being a few pages covering the point without a lot of added experience examples that often see to serve only to double or triple the number of pages. You may have heard all that's in there but this is a helpful approach with simple and direct suggestions for getting real about your health program.

I'm with you on this, too, Rosalie. Way too many people think ultra-skinny is healthy (and the only way to be attractive) but I disagree.

This book looks very interesting, thank you for the review.

Hi Rosalie. How are you doing? I am keeping busy with my mission. It seems to take more and more time as I get farther into it. I am just winding up all of my responsibilities so I can leave for Wisconsin. Siri is pregnant and very sick, so she is waiting for us to get there and take over for two weeks. It will be good to see her. Do you cook at Thanksgiving? I was talking with my walking friends, and Christmas is getting more different every year. Last year I thought I needed to do something. . . make plans for George and me. This year is the same. Married children are so busy with their own children. I think it's a lot about that little quote you posted below. We have to just be happy. Wish we could go someplace together and sit and visit.

I was just worrying about this the other day :) Rayne eats pretty much nothing and she LOVES candy. Caius is such a good eater and seems to love eating all ready. Granted he's only 6 months old, but he eats healthy stuff and I hope to keep him doing that better than I did Rayne. But, I was thinking that he will probably be my healthy, good eater and always be the "chunky" one and Rayne will be tall and thin and live on gummy fish! It's NOT a good thing. Hopefully I can change and improve things with them!

Hooray... Sounds like a great book, Rosalie. I have had a weight problem all of my life ---and have fought it and fought it... I have gone through the guilt and anger and hurt because of it...

I finally decided that I would be LARGE no matter what I did... SO--I just got physically fit and tried to eat healthy...

Hugs,
Betsy

Is this the hormone/yoga book? The diet that is all the rage out here is the "pregnancy hormone" diet..........@%^&*(%@$&$@$%$^%&! sounds wonderfully healthy doesn't it. Now that they are all skinny they are heading in for their boob jobs! It has gone way, way beyond "costly apparel".
