The idea of 'wanting' is very important to me. I was brought up, not harshly, but with the idea that anyone was more important than I was and one should always defer. But one day I realized that it is important to take care of myself and have the desires of my heart. Clearly a very effectual tool of the devil is causing souls to have depression and feelings of giving up. Once a person gets to those stages of life, she/he becomes lifeless and ineffective. There are people and cultures who enforce this lifestyle for some of their members. It gives the others more power. It leaves the subjected ones somber and lifeless.
If you take away a person's love of life, or passion, not much else flourishes. Giving up and withdrawal can run rampant. So it is with all gusto and power that I proclaim
"I WANT.......THEREFORE I AM."

PASSION is food for the Soul.
It's my opinion and it's true. ^.^)

Oh Mudderbear, you are correct. Why would GOD give us the vision to create and need stimuli in order to THRIVE in HIS IMAGE? I so agree. Let us flourish as we observe how we can TAKE all we can out of life by GIVING all we are...thank you for coming to visit!!! Anita

You are right, of course. There something freeing about letting what you want be important enough to matter. When I turned 50, I took myself shopping and when I was done, I knew that if no one else remembered me on my special day, I had been good enough to myself to feel content. It felt great!

when we want what brings God glory it is a good thing. The world has just put it's passion in the wrong place, this is a good thought.
