It has been a week since I posted anything formally. School started for Khrystibear at the 'U' last week and it is a bit of a ways away so I drove her up and around to look for her buildings/classes. Then, because we were downtown we had to shop at Caputo's and a couple other very nifty shops for some really, really good cheeses, bread, pasta, etc. This is pretty much a days work for me. I come home and take a nap. And then there is dinner to think up and clean up the kitchen (again!!) . That is it... my day.

Today, Decorchick (see my sidebar to link) is featuring a Real Messes-Real Life-Link Party. The fun is to get brave and show your real life messes. It is encouraging to know that not all the beautiful immaculate pictures displayed in blogs feature the entirety of the homes they show. Lurking somewhere behind perfect displays might be....messes!!! AAgghhh!!!! Well, I am not showing mine because, #1 my camera battery is exhausted and won't charge up. #2 I don't know how to manipulate all the computer tricks to get it posted with the decorchick. #I might be too chicken. It is an encouraging idea. Thank you Decorchick for coming up with something to spur us on with organizing and cleaning. Most of you reading this know that I downsized last August and moved into an apartment. I love the new home. It doesn't hold much however and there is very limited space for storage. I thought of showing my laundry room. There is hardly room to turn around in there. The washer and dryer are stacked and, honestly, you must lean back to open the dryer/top door and get it past your face. I bought my last house for the laundry room....I miss it. And I still can't hang up all my clothes at the same time. So it is interesting to see what others are doing. The photo at the top of this site shows an empty apartment....before we moved everything in. I can't show you how it looks now, but it is definitely a work in progress. And I think I'll take pictures of progress and post them later. See you later................

Hi Rosalie!
I think the mess thing would be fun. I won't be joining in this time because I am a lazy blogger.hehe Not because I lack messes. Mine right now are more like disasters. They are not bothering me, so they won't be bothering anybody else. I'm a pack rat and I think my kids will be turning me into one of those 'hoarder' shows.lol!
Your apt. will feel like home very soon...I am sure of that.

Your message was so lovely. You are so kind! And thank you so much for the link to my blog...that was such a sweet thing to do.
I love the music here on your blog and even when I am done writing my comments, I hate leaving.

I am glad I'm not the only one. Today I am exhausted because yesterday I did laundry. It is still upstairs, so I walk up and down. It does me in. Hopefully George will get out bathroom remodeled this spring. It will include a washer/dryer stack like you have, and it won't have its own room, just a spot in the bathroom. However, I will be so glad to just have it be where I am.

You know, even though I thought I got rid of PILES of stuff, I could still get rid of more. I just don't know what to discard. Have to think about that.

My basement! That's the forgotten planet around here. Every once in a while my husband goes down to do something with the furnace and starts yelling about cobwebs. Cobwebs? My house? I can't be. I cleaned the basement a year ago. I love your snow picture. That car look so little. Diane

Thanks Diane... those old prints can be found at hprints.com It's really fun to look through all the stuff they have on there. And I might just buy me a couple of prints to frame. They don't cost much.
