Happy New Year......

I am tired of seeing my old posts everytime I come over here...and...this is a good time to have something to say, so a few words are in order, eh? What did I do to celebrate?
Yesterday, Papabear took us out for a movie. That's pretty much our traditional New Year's passtime. We went to see RED at the dollar movie in Sugar House. It was hilarious...love it.... had a lot of action. I was expecting more slapstick and cheesy stuff, but nope. There was excitement all the way through. I highly recommend it for any age group. Our twelve-year-old would like it. We should take him. We also 'dined' at Pier 49 Pizza, found next door. MmmHmmm.....yummy, yummy!!! Very Good Pizza. I also recommend that most highly.

After the movie we went grocery shopping and then home to settle down in front of the T V. Isn't it odd that after you go to a movie, you just want to go home and watch television??? What's up with that?? After awhile Khrystibear and I watched the last season of Smallville, the latest one we have anyway, season #9. That is always GOOD! We really love it. We had some coconut cream pie to celebrate New Year's and a little bit of egg nog. Then it was 1:00 A M and we hadn't heard any toots or noise of any kind. That's alright. We celebrated our own way with all the wahoo our hearts could muster. It's okay. Today I plan to get a start on housekeeping and to take down the Christmas tree. Haha...this is all very traditional for us. Is that bad??? There IS a lot going on in my head, resolutions for the coming year, and going over the past year with all those bumpy roads we've navigated, gratitude for all God's blessings and being warm and having so much of what we need.
But frankly, it's too darn cold to be going anywhere outside. Staying home sounds just fine to me. Mmmm.......hot chocolate with Cool Whip coming up.
.... HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you. You have been so sweet to visit my page here.... I look for you almost everyday and love to go check out your pages to see what you're thinking about and how you're doing. I really do care....you've become good friends and very dear to me. My family gets more precious all the time as we weather the storms together. May you all have love and prosperity through 2011, with blessings to get you through whatever comes up.

Rosalie,
Thanks so much for your visit and your very kind words!! I love ornaments and kept picking them up on sale after Christmas and of course, themes developed which lead to several trees and then ornaments that could be used for other seasons and Holidays and then you would have to have a tree up to put those ornaments on and one thing just kept leading to another so I do have trees for other Holidays and seasons and I feel why not?? If you love the look and the glow that a Christmas tree gives your home then just keep it up and change it up. I notice that a lot of restaurants now have trees with white lights on all year round and white lights in other places of the establishment. I like the cozy glow and I like to decorate for different Holidays. And it is fun so if you are thinking of having a tree for all Seasons, go for it!!
Wishing you a Happy New Year!!

Hugs,
Debbie

Hi Rosalie-

Thanks for stopping by my site and leaving me the nice comment. It is always nice to find a new name pop up in my commnet stream.

Your New Year sounds kinda like mine - movies, relaxing, and taking down the holiday decorations. I think I am going have some hot cocoa after I take some outside decorations down.

Happy New Year.

My best- Diane

I've been doing movie marathons on NYE since my friends got licenses and we could keep going to get more. I think it will keep us young. Another year older? Nah.
