FINALLY

Tonight my grandson, James, called to ask me for help with his homework. He's a junior in high school. I held my breath and said okay, hoping it would be something I could do and not sound too dumb.
Well, he needed to know about his great-great-grandparents for a paper he is writing. Whew! No math or complexities of some nature.
Okay, I can do that.....just count backwards from me and stop at two greats...Hmm...not as easy as it sounds....I'm the grandmother, that makes my mom the great.....You may or may not be surprised that it took me counting on my fingers and toes for a minute to be sure of things.
Anyway, the really fun part of this is that I could say to James to just find my blog and go to mudderbear's Memory Lane. I have posted some stories and pictures there that are just waiting for him. I hope he found them. I can't help being just a little bit excited about it. His great-greats are my grandpa and grandma. [I'm still thinking here...right??...and hoping I got it right. haha.] And for him to visit my blog page about them is a lot of fun for me. I hope he enjoyed meeting them. It hasn't really been that long since they were here. I know they would really love him.

This is your reward for all that effort. Aren't you excited? It's just thrilling, and I know how I would feel if one of my grandchildren looked at my little offering. Congratulations on a job well done and someone to appreciate it!

Thank you. And THANK YOU for getting that ball rolling. I would never have realized it could happen if I hadn't met you. I need to work some more on both of them...plus the November birthdays should be posted in a day or two.
See what a good influence you've been on me!

That's great! I'm glad to hear they would have them do a project like that in school. I think it's so important.
