BOOKS & BLOGGING

Finally I am catching up a little on writing book reviews for LIBRARYTHING Early Reviewers, today.    I read the books they send me and post a personal review there and sometimes on Facebook.  You have probably noticed that I have all but dropped off the blogging lately.  The same is true for reading...although...that hasn't stopped me from buying a *few or two* new books and making plans to read.   As of now I am wondering where did all those books go ???    And which ones were they ??  [The Mill on the Floss] was one I meant to read with Marie, but never got to.  And I bought a copy of [Les Miserables].  Could that have been a year ago ??!!!!  It's quite a fat book and I so loved hearing the opera on KUED, but was it THAT long ago..a year ??!!??    Sometimes it seems my reading days are over.  But I think it's because in this small apartment, when the television is on, it is very loud.  Papabear doesn't hear very well any more and so the volume can be almost unbearable.  It isn't something you can tune-out.  Truth be told, there are times when I am *this close* to walking out the door to go find some silence.   Now that there is an extra room here, Papa has been spending a lot of time in there to do his own reading, and find his own silence, no doubt.  Recently I came across a pinner on Pinterest who has a Middle Ages board with some very interesting pins about the Plantagenets.   Couple that with two new books on that subject that Krush has brought home to me from Barnes & Noble,  and a peaked interest in our scriptures,  I need reading time.  So I have posted two new reviews on  Early Reviewers with the hopes of getting a new book from them this month.   Who knows, all this reading activity just might kick-up my blogging activity. Maybe mudderbear will come out of hibernation.
