MOVIE VIEWS....LARRY CROWNE

We went to see LARRY CROWNE. The movie stars Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. If you would like to go back to college for a term, this is a fun way to do it. Hanks plays a middle-age man who is displaced at his job because he has no college diploma, so he decides he'd better get one. Roberts is quite charming as his professor teaching the art of casual conversation. It is rather amusing to see Roberts as a grumpy, honery, unlikeable teacher. Can you even imagine her that way?? She pulls it off very well. I actually started to dislike her, but not quite. Hanks is great as an ordinary guy just trying to cope with his world. The movie is fun and a bit heartwarming as you watch these two dealing with their personal troubles. It is easy-going and flows well, and by that I mean there is nothing to make you nervous that you will be accosted by someone's bad taste in filming. I do appreciate being able to enjoy a movie without having to put up with disgusting scenes and language thrown at me.This was good. It was fun. You would very probably like it. Grab a popcorn and coke and relax awhile.

I couldn't get a photo to transfer here. Maybe later....
