IN HONOR OF MOTHERS

This is to honor MOTHER'S DAY
These are a few of the mother's in my family and ancestry.

Aunt Marie and I wondered for a very long time who this beautiful lady is. Then one day, we learned that a cousin had a copy of the photo with an autograph on the back. It is Eleanor Ballard, Dianah Ireland's mother.

This center picture is Alice Parker Corbridge .She lost her little girl in New Orleans when the family was making it's way across America. The little girl just disappeared and no one knows whatever happened to her.

The family group shows Fanny Emmorett Loveland sitting left of her husband Perrigrine Sessions in the middle and her son, Chester, our Greatgrandfather, left side. Think of raising so many children but I know she was adored by all, patient and kind.

I consider this lady the matriarch of our Sessions family. She was the midwife in the Salt Lake Valley and had many adventures with that profession.
We always knew her as just PATTY BARTLETT...but she was also P B SESSIONS, known respectfully in the valley as Mother Sessions.

The center figure here is known fondly as
Grandmother Jackman, with twinkling brown eyes and a talent for whistling. When her last birthing brought about twin boys she threw down her apron and exclaimed, "If they're going to come in pairs, then I quit".
LYDIA DAVIS BLEAZARD was married to John Hopwood Bleazard. They liked to give their children the surnames of their parents for middle names. She looks so much like Lucy, my grandma and her grandaughter....family resemblance.

This is AMY DIANTHA JACKMAN DEAN, Daddy's mother. She died in childbirth when my father was just 6-7 years old. She knew she wasn't going to live through the delivery of her baby, the fifth one, a girl. She asked her husband to keep her boys together after she was gone, which he did. What courage it had to take for her to complete her mission in life.

This shows my grandma, LUCY, first on left,
with her sisters and also her mother,
ELIZABETH DIANA MERRITT on far right. I was blessed to know all these ladies so personally when I was growing up....my greats!!! And they are!!!! This is Caleb Bleazards family .....

This is KAREN and Jaden. He is Karen's grandson. Karen has wonderful parenting skills...so patient and yet so firm with rules. She does a wonderful job and Jaden adores her.

MELANIE is a wonderful mother. She weathered all the illnesses and surgeries of last winter and still stays strong. She constantly does wonderful, special things for her boys. They are so lucky to have her for their mother.

HEATHER with newborn HunterLynn. She doesn't look like a grandma, does she???

GINA with Hunter Lynn. Gina looks like she has lots of thoughts about her newborn baby. I love this picture for that.

This is MELODY AND MARIE.... given special
mention here for thier valor with the new twins last winter.
The babies were born prematurely and only one survived. Little Matthew lived in the hospital almost four months.

Mama was spunky and cute. She liked to tell the kids, when their actions were suspect, "Oh, you've got a black spot in your eye." That never failed to confuse them and they would stop what they were doing and try to figure out how and IF she knew what they were up to and just how could she know that?.

JoAnna is our most recent birthing mommy, shown here with newborn Baby Caius. She is sensitive and sweet,
a really perfect mother and looking good already.

Here I will offer my apologies for this post being so full of goofs or problems. I just don't get the system. And I've been working all day putting it together. I hope you get the sentiment and know that I honor all of you as mothers and women, family and friends included. We are all amazing. I know that you are beautiful and kind and have love in your hearts. We all do. We are women. Have a beautiful day .

Hi Rosalie, What a nice tribute on Mother's Day... There are so many wonderful mothers in the world. That was sad about the one who died in childbirth after having five children...That must have been hard for the husband to raise them all.
Hugs,
Betsy

What a beautiful tribute to Mothers. I am so flattered to be included with all the wonderful mothers in your family. You missed one though.......you remind me of the mother in that beautiful picture at the top of the page. Calm and radiant, full of kindness and love with all the little treasures gathered around you. You are loved by all.
