My little sister wants to see pictures of my new computer desk. I also wanted to post some pics of the pretty pitcher, card, and tiny little bluebird plate that Diane sent me from her Etsy shop. I hope you can tell what you're looking at.
I put the desk against the bar that divides the kitchen. An apartment not only limits us on space, but the cable set up pretty much dictates just where computers and televisions can be set up. So here it must be.
This is the top shelf of the desk.
It isn't a really great picture and I realize

you can see unrelated other things but, hopefully,
you will focus on the lovely pitcher and the bluebird
plate. The plate is so tiny and charming. You can also see
the angel Karen gave us for Christmas this year. It is there
to remind us that the Lord will return someday, soon, and we should be preparing for that. One of Diane's cards is on the other side, supported by the greenery.

Below is the other side of the display, the kitchen side. I think it's kind of nice how it shows up pretty on both sides. Sorry about the bright light lamps. But here I have my pretty blue tray with accesories that my little sister gave me. And there are some doll dishes left over from my long-ago childhood. They are all I have left.... just a few pieces of blue willow, and a beige teacup and serving tray that I got for Christmas when I was just five years old. I kept them safely in a box then. I really loved that pretty beige color with the flowers framed in white. Anyway, one day, I had them out and they got knocked off the front porch steps. Almost all the little dishes were broken. The teacup and platter were all that survived. I cried...... and I almost typed here who they were knocked off by: R.....P...... but I won't. He was also only five or six years old and didn't mean any harm.
And Marie, that is Gammie's picture in the oval frame. Gammie is my Greatgrandmother. The little bluebird plate I bought from Diane so reminded me of Gammie that I just had to have it.
I also have Diane's pretty tags displayed but they aren't showing up. One reminds me to "Expect Miracles" and the other reminds me to "Serve the Lord."
I know these photos could be so much better. But it's taken me this long to get this far. And my camera gets so cantankerous. I'll catch you later. You know me...I might rearrange everything and start over. It really is pretty. I love it. ^.^)

Very nice, Rosalie... I like your new set-up... Diane's pitcher and little bluebird plate are perfect in that area. Glad you are enjoying them. Diane is a great friend.
Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog... The feeling is mutual.
Hugs,
Betsy
I think it looks wonderful. The tall angels bring it up high enough that it looks like a room divider. The pitcher and butter pat look absolutely at home there at your home. I blew the pictures up and looked at everything. Great job!! Diane
It looks great! Eddie saw and wondered whose house it was. When I told him it was "grandma's with the castle" he disagreed. He recognized it was a different house than the one he knew. Luckily he can be there soonish! Also, you should know, Eddie's very favorite shirt is his bear shirt you gave him for Christmas. He always wants to know if it's clean. :)
It all looks lovely! I just love it when things finally come together and I love the result. I mess around, move this, add that.....
but when it finally gets there I feel so happy!
Your things are beautiful. And you have done a wonderful job! I remember the blue dishes. How do you ever remember all the details..
when you got the dishes? I just remember the dishes being there.
i think it looks great! and to all you all out there it looks way better in real life too. i love it and it's like a little jungle with treasures hidden through out. i know littleman is always looking through and finding something new. and it's so tastefully elegant. you should be proud of it.
