There sat the Queen
in all her splendid wonder,
Head held high on a long, straight neck,
Arms in position for defense.
She looks infallible.
She seems immoveable.
Her eyes hold steady, yet
emotions peer from within
hiding, afraid to be seen.
The Queen rules,
is decisive
and strong.
Nothing can unsettle
the queen.

How very fun for you to share poetry with us! Make it a habit, won't you? I enjoyed that!
Thank you, Ben. I was afraid it might sound rather maudlin.
I'm going to change one word in the last stanza. I think it will put the punch in a little better.
It didn't work I changed it back.
I changed the word 'can' to 'must' but that didn't fell subtle enough to me.
