I don't really believe in supersttions, of course. But today was a bit unusual. It started with Papabear waking me up to tell me he had to go to work early, and he needed to take my car. He had pulled into McD's when he realized his car had a flat tire. Luckily it isn't far away and he was able to limp the car back home. I called AARP later and they came and changed the tire.
Papabear called later. His bad luck had not stopped with taking my car. He drove to Provo, and as he was pulling off the exit, he heard a loud bang as if someone had hit my car from the back. It took a minute for him to know my back tire had popped. Papabear limped into a motorcycle shop and called Big-O Tires. My tires were all kinda' rotten. I did not know they got that way. I thought I had one that was seriously off-balance.
Well, thank goodness no one was hurt and AARP gets right to you and solves your problem. Thank goodness Steve can afford to buy new tires when he has to.
Actually, I had not even thought of it being friday, the thirteenth, until later. Everything is good now. My car drives much taller than it has been doing....nice.

Bummer. For the last several years, I've always had good luck on Friday the 13th. Melanie and I had our first kiss on a Friday the 13th, for example. They're not always momentously memorable, but they've always been good. Knock on wood!
Do you like AARP? Sorry about the tires. I hate tire buying because it is expensive and not high on my list of fun ways to spend money. It is necessary, kind of like the dentist. Sigh!
